1833

The first Religious Society of the area was organized and met at the Old Hickory School in Will County.  The organization was a joint effort of eastern churches and theologians who were largely of the Congregational, Presbyterian, and Dutch Reformed denominations.   Out of this came the Naperville, Downers Grove, and Lisle Congregational Churches.

On July 22 the church at Lisle was dedicated.  The first worship service was held in the new church built on Ogden Avenue on property donated by James C. Hatch.

1970

About 30 families left the church following the failure of the relocation vote.  Most of them became founding members of Lumen Christi Presbyterian Church on Hobson Road.

New gas furnaces were installed to replace the oil burner.  The tower was covered with aluminum siding.  The foundation was waterproofed.

The newly remodeled basement Fellowship Hall was dedicated in June.  Storm windows were added all around the church.

1978

The entire church exterior was covered with aluminum siding.  The well went dry at Christmas time, and a new one was dug.

The upper level of the church was completely rewired.  New light fixtures were installed in the sanctuary and the narthex

1988

The site identity sign was replaced with a modern sign.  New pews, altar furniture, and a register desk for the narthex were installed.
